Limmerick
There was a boy called Mac
Who was very lag
His brain was so lag
That he was so frightened by a clap
And a pencil lead
That it made him mad
Till he could not add

Learning Reflections
1)Lamb to the slaughter.
The things that we are required to do for the test is much harder than I have expected. At the beginning of the year, I thought that it would be like our primary school's questions like the comprehensions and MCQs. Then until I have learnt about Language Arts, I was beginnig to feel that the standards here was much higher and we had to do many writing and no MCQ questions at all.
2) Reading Books (Village by the Sea)
Actually, it had not expected the test to be about the book as I had thought that it was just for our reading interest. However, as soon as I knew it was to be taught ands tested, I read through the whole book in detail, not just browsing through. I also learnt about the ABC/SEE format which is really useful.
3)Poetry
I have never encountered poems before and thus has many difficulties with poetry. I feel that poetry is a tough part of Language Arts as poetry requires many understanding and analysis of the poem to fully grasp the true meaning of the poem, thus making it so difficult to master the subject of poetry.

School Days (Poem)
The days when i was 1.2 meter tall
I got good grades
with no stress at all
and got really good mates
Monday we had good times with football
When John kicked the ball onto Tom's head
With Tom's groan
he got a first aid
When I reached home
my shoe turned from white to black
and got my mother's moan
With a hard cane on the back

Peotry
for if it were where it is not,
you might dislike your nose a lot.
Imagine if your precious nose
were sandwiched in between your toes,
that clearly would not be a treat,
for you'd be forced to smell your feet.
Your nose would be a source of dread
were it attached atop your head,
it soon would drive you to despair,
forever tickled by your hair.
Within your ear, your nose would be
an absolute catastrophe,
for when you were obliged to sneeze,
your brain would rattle from the breeze.
Your nose, instead, through thick and thin,
remains between your eyes and chin,
not pasted on some other place--
be glad your nose is on your face!

Research on the Preparation of Chapathi and Jalebi
1)Roti is made from whole-wheat bread
2), depending on the country and the cook, can be as thin as a "skin" or soft and pliable, closer to a pita
1)Chapati is made from very finely milled whole wheat
2) Chapati flour and tend to be thin and papery
Receipt of cooking of both chapathi and jaleb
Indian Roti or Chapati Recipe. (Unleavened Flat Indian Bread)
Ingredients: (makes 10 Rotis)
250 grams Whole Wheat Flour
1 tbsp Oil or Ghee (Clarified Indian Butter)
1 teaspoon salt (optional)
Water to knead the dough
More Whole Wheat Flour (for dusting the Rotis when rolling)
Method:
1)Take flour and add 1 tbsp oil.
2)Rub the flour between your palm
3)Add 1 tsp salt
4)Add water, a little at a time
5)Knead the flour to make a stiff dough
6)Cover the dough with cheese cloth and leave it for 30 minutes
7)Take a small portion of the dough and roll it into a smooth ball between your palms
8)Flatten the dough by pressing it in a seperate bowl of whole wheat flour
9)Dust the dough liberally on both sides with the flour
10)Use rolling pin to roll it evenly.
Cooking/Roasting the Roti or Chapati:
1) Heat a Tava or a flat Griddle, reduce the heat to medium and flip the rolled out Roti on the griddle. Cook it on one side for about 10-15 seconds and flip it over before you start to see big brown spots (undercooked). Cook on the other side for another 15-20 seconds or until you see brown spots to indicate the Roti is cooked on this side. Keep turning the Roti on the griddle so that it does not stick. Finally, flip the Roti again on the fist side and finish cooking for another 5-10 seconds. Alternatively, you can remove the Roti from the griddle and place the first side (undercooked) on a direct flame for 5-10 seconds to puff the Roti. Remove when the Roti is puffed and cooked.
Serve Rotis hot with any hot Indian vegetable or Curry. You can brush the Roti with a little hot Ghee or Oil for an authentic taste.

I am feeling really angry with Mr de Silva and his drunken father. Mr de Silva had insulted my father is a drunken, hopeless village man. But I knew that what he had said is true. My father drink toddy everyday and he does not do work.
Also, I wished that I could find a job, either in Bombay or in Thul, as long as I get a job to support my two siblings as my father does absoblutely nothing. i heard that they is a factory going to be built in the village which can give us jobs. But I do not realy belive it as I think that they will employ professionals to do the job, not us kids. So, I would rather go to the Bombay to work as a car-cleaner... if Mr de Silva remembered that he would give me the job.

Reason for The Lady or the Tiger's Ending
The Lady or the Tiger's Ending
"Nooooo......" The man shouted as the tiger came out of the door, advancing towards the man. The man raced around the arena, screaming like a girl, though as brave as warrior. Eventually, he was pounced down by the tiger, and he had one, last look at the princess before closing his eyes. The tiger eventually ate himm up within seconds, leaving a pile of bones on the ground. Many people had shrieked at this, disappointed that such a good man would have died.
At this moment, the princess stood up and suddenly climbed the railing surrounding the arena and jumped down, before anyone realised what she was doing. "I have came to join you!" The princess shouted as she fell down. The tiger spotted her and ate her up, leaving the king in remorse.

My LA Composition
At last, we reached home safely, but wet with rain. I suggested that we should have a shower and John went to shower first. Just as John had finished his shower and I was about to have my turn, the whole sky turns dark as if there is a blackout in the sky.
Then, the ground began shaking vigorously. Frightened, John and I crawled below the table and looked around. The ground stopped shaking suddenly. Out of curiosity, I walked out of below the table, opened the door and looked around. A surprising scene greeted me. A giant octopus smashed me in the face with one of its many huge tentacles. I fell right back and cried for help. John saw the octopus and attempted to run out of the door, but failed as the octopus grabbed him up and threw he in the house again.
Quick as lightning, I sprinted to the kitchen and snatched a knife up. Then, I stabbed the octopus on the tentacle as blackish blood gushed out of it. Annoyed, the octopus turned onto me and swallow me whole into the stomach. I was very frightened at that time but I soon regained my calmness. Walking in the octopus stomach, I saw a huge round ball and I realized that I still had my knife with me. Naturally, I stabbed the knife into the huge round ball. I had just pulled out the knife when the octopus started to shrink. I realized that I had little time to make my way out as the stomach will squash me to death. I felt that my only way to survive is to kill the octopus... Or it is what I felt.
Quickly, I used the knife to make a hole in the stomach and tried to make a way out. After digging for about one minute, I saw light. I used the knife to make the hole bigger and soon climbed out of the hole, just in time too, as the octopus suddenly shrink to the original size.
When John saw me, he seems as if he had seen and alien and rushed towards to ask about what had happened to me. So, I related the whole happenings to him and he looked shocked, as if he did not belief it. After a few minutes, I called the police to come to my house to investigate what the creature is.
Although this kind of thing is rather exciting, I wished that it will not happen again.
Journal According to Mary Maloney point of view's
Oh, I had felt so regretful about killing him. Why had I done that? IF I am caught, I would be sent to jail or maybe even be hanged! Why destroy my life over a unfaithful husband. When he told me about the news, I was shocked. I tried to stop him, but I cannot do that. I was almost in an unconscious state when I hit him with the lamb's leg. I was not even thinking. Now I have killed him, I went to the grocer's shop to buy some things, looking cheerful as if notihnh had happened. It was an alibi. I also messed up the place. The stupid poilce did not even knew that they had eaten the murder weapon. Nut in the end, I had not been caught, and my life continues as usual...
